Who this policy covers
This policy explains how the developer of TankRoutine handles information in the TankRoutine iPhone and iPad app and on this website, youtoolscenter.site. For privacy questions or requests, contact CnhookWuaizhen@gmail.com.
TankRoutine is an aquarium record-keeping tool. You do not need to create an account with us to use the app.
Your aquarium records
Tank names and photos, water test readings, maintenance entries, notes, reminders, target ranges and preferences are stored locally on your device. The app does not upload these records to a developer-operated server.
TankRoutine does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Your aquarium records are not sold or used for targeted advertising. The app does not request contacts or location access.
Photos, camera and notifications
- Photos and camera: when you choose to add a tank photo, the app uses the selected image or a photo you take. Images are resized and re-encoded for local storage; the stored app copy does not retain the original image’s EXIF metadata.
- Notifications: with your permission, the app schedules local notifications for reminders. These are generated on your device. You can change notification permissions in your device’s Settings.
- Files: exporting or restoring a backup opens the system file interface so you can choose a destination or a file.
You can decline optional permissions. The related feature may then be unavailable, while other core features remain usable.
Backups, iCloud Drive and exports
Backups are initiated by you. A full backup can contain your tank records, notes, reminders, settings and tank photos. CSV exports contain water test or maintenance data and are not a full restorable backup.
If you choose iCloud Drive, another file provider or a sharing destination, that service handles the exported file under its own terms and privacy policy. TankRoutine does not provide automatic cloud synchronization between devices. Restoring reads the backup you select into the app’s local storage.
Your device’s operating-system backup settings may also cause app data to be included in a device backup. These backups are controlled by you and the platform provider. Keep exported files secure, especially if notes or photos contain personal information.
Purchases, updates and Apple services
Optional Pro purchases and purchase restoration are processed through Apple’s StoreKit and App Store. The app uses purchase status to unlock features. We do not receive your payment card details.
The app may contact Apple’s public App Store lookup service to check for a newer version, using the app’s identifier and store country. Your tank records are not included in this request. Apple may receive standard connection information such as your IP address. App Store distribution, purchases, device backups and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are governed by Apple’s policies and your Apple settings.

This website and support email
This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or account sign-ins. Fonts, images and scripts used by the website are served from the website itself. Following an App Store or other external link takes you to a third-party service with its own policy.
The hosting service may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested URL and request time, to deliver and protect the website. Hosting log settings and retention depend on the hosting provider.
If you email support, we receive the address you send from, the message and any attachments you choose to share. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot and handle your request. Email is processed by our email provider. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information or full backups unless they are needed for your request.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Local app records remain until you delete them, clear the app’s data or remove the app, subject to your operating-system backup settings. Restore operations may create a local recovery copy; you can manage these copies in the app. Removing app data does not automatically remove files you exported, files held by another service, device backups or your Apple purchase history.
Support correspondence is kept only as needed to respond to the request, maintain necessary support records and meet applicable obligations. You can contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have sent us. Applicable legal requirements may limit deletion of particular records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will respond to applicable requests after reasonably verifying the request. We cannot directly access or delete aquarium records held only on your device or in your chosen backup location.
Children and updates to this policy
TankRoutine is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can address it.
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. The effective date below identifies this version. Material changes will be reflected in an updated policy.
