Using TankRoutine
These terms cover TankRoutine and this website. TankRoutine is provided by its developer, who can be contacted at CnhookWuaizhen@gmail.com. By using the app or website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The App Store’s terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also apply to your download and use of the app, unless a separate custom license is provided on the App Store. These website terms do not replace your agreement with Apple or reduce rights that cannot legally be excluded.
A record-keeping tool
TankRoutine helps you record aquarium water tests, maintenance and reminders. It does not measure water, connect to live monitoring hardware, diagnose animal disease or guarantee that a tank is suitable for a species.
Target ranges, color indicators and trends are comparisons with recorded data. A past reading is not a real-time reading. Any reference range is a starting point that must be checked against the needs of your livestock, test method and tank. Seek qualified advice when necessary.
Your records and reminders
You are responsible for the values, units, dates, target ranges and other information you enter. Check °C versus °F, volume units and the reporting convention used by your water test kit. Total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) is not the same measurement as free ammonia (NH₃), and nitrogen-based test results may require conversion before comparison with ion-based readings.
Reminders depend on your device, notification permissions, time settings and operating-system delivery. They may be delayed or suppressed. Use your own judgment and do not rely on the app as the sole alert for time-critical care.
Free use and Pro purchases
The free version supports one active tank and core recording features. Optional Pro features are unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase. The purchase sheet displays the current price and applicable conditions in your region before you confirm. No subscription is required for Pro.
Apple processes payment and eligible refund requests. Use Restore purchases with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Deleting your app data does not cancel or refund a purchase. Features and availability may change; applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
Your data and backups
You retain rights to the content you enter. Only add photos and other content that you are entitled to use. Aquarium records are stored on the device unless you choose to export them or your platform includes them in a device backup.
Make backups before changing devices, uninstalling the app or performing a restore. Manual iCloud Drive file backup is not automatic synchronization. CSV files are for reviewing data in other tools and are not a complete restorable backup. You are responsible for checking a backup’s date and contents and for keeping exported files secure.

Appropriate use and intellectual property
Use the app and website lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the services, circumvent purchase protections or use the app to infringe another person’s rights. The TankRoutine name, app design and website materials belong to their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you.
You may use the app for its intended personal record-keeping purpose under the applicable App Store license. Rights permitted by law are not restricted by this section.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful, reliable tool, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or particular aquarium outcomes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided as available. Keep independent backups and verify important records.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not create a guarantee of animal health or suitability of any water parameters.
Changes and contact
